Lauren Kasiarz, Children’s Author

Lauren Kasiarz (she/her) is a picture book author and speaker whose work centers on Jewish identity, heritage, and the modern multicultural Jewish experience. A granddaughter of Holocaust survivors and mother to multiracial Jewish children, she strives to foster resilience, empathy, and inclusion. 

Lauren amplifies diverse Jewish representation in children’s literature as the creator of the Instagram and YouTube podcast pages @DiverseJewishBooks, where she spotlights books and conversations that broaden and diversify the landscape of Jewish kidlit. 

Lauren is represented by Jennie Kendrick of Red Fox Literary Agency.

Bearing Witness

​As a board member of 3GNJ (descendent of Holocaust survivors nonprofit affiliated with the USC Shoah Foundation and Living Links), Lauren frequently shares her grandfather’s Holocaust survival story in educational settings.

Lauren Kasiarz is the pre-published author of children's books that celebrate diverse representation in Jewish literature and experiences.  

 

She’s also never shy about bringing people together with a tray of Jewish-themed cookies or a freshly baked challah—because storytelling is always better with sprinkles.

Lauren is a 2025 #PBParty Finalist, a 2024 PJ Library Picture Book Summer Camp alum at the Highlights Foundation, and has been published in outlets such as Kveller. 

Lauren received an undergraduate degree in Industrial and Labor Relations and a master of business administration both from Cornell University.
